All I want For Christmas is....

... well my favourite time of year has arrived. I LOVE christmas!! Im soooo excited for the snow to come and the christmas parties to begin! I have turned back into a child and have spotted some amazing christmas jumpers i need to buy (maybe before my christmas shopping begins). These festive jumpers i found in Topshop bring me back to the days when it was uncool to wear a knitted print jumper especially on christmas day however ii cant resist and am falling for the geeky uncool items.

These fun jumpers are £50 from Topshop and would be perfect for a quirky snow day outfit teamed up with of the items below for example a bowler hat or girly ear muffs from Topshop also a pair of waxed jodhpur riding trouser from Zara and some ankle riding boots at Topshop. This would be a perfect outfit on a cold winters day! i would defiantly through on my fur coat too to top the look off!

Hope you enjoy christmas jumpers as much as i do Soph x.x

While spending my afternoons blogging i have came across some real fashionistas! One blog i have LOVED reading is Diamond Solitaire from Aberdeen. I love looking at local blogs to get inspiration and this was one that stood out. Her interesting fashion style is inspiring. The blog is based around her style and what she wears on a day to day basis. Her style is quirky and anybody can relate to it. Her style can have a hard grunge edge but with some soft flowing pieces for example maxi skirts and flowing dresses teamed up with leather jackets and chunky jewellery.

The simplicity sometimes of a funky t-shirt leggings and jewellery teamed up with some killer heals can give edge to any look. These are some pics i pinched from her blog to show you her style. Her blog gives you good ideas on where to find different ideas on style.

This is the link to her blog if you want to have nosey through her other looks. Because i know i cant resist a peak at what other people are wearing.
I love Diamond Solitaires Blog because of how relaxed her approach to fashion is. This girl is unique and im excited to share her blog with you Hope you enjoy it as much as i do :-)

Harness Up...

                                                               Diva at Miss Selfridge £14

                                                                 Freedom at Topshop £20

                                                               Freedom at Topshop £15

.... I have fallen in love with a new kind of accesorie... the body chain! i just love how you can wear this harness like piece of jewellery with a simple tee and  you have a statement look! These cool designs would even help a plain dress for a night out to stand out i love how versatile they are! can be dressed down for a grunge style or dressed up for a glam look! there are some more vintage styles up for grab and the use of the beads and pearls make these body chains look like dainty and innocent peices of jewellery... i LOVE them and i hope you do to!

Being a Diva...

... I want to say a BIG thanks to Hannah Duncan who allowed us to use her fab design for our uni fashion shoot and for coming along to support us and give us ideas. What a fab day we had getting the chance to organise a real life fashion shoot for a magazine were creating through uni as part of our coursework. although most of us were full of the cold and shivering due to aberdeens finest autumn weather we still had fun. once our fab photographers are finished with our pics i will pop them up for everyone to see if im not tooo embarrassed since i was the one to model for them... cringe! We spent the morning posing at the ruins on the edge of torry near the harbour and off cliffs at the edge of aberdeen. it was a interesting day but i dont think i will become a famous model anytime soon.. not with my posing skills anyway haha! :-(

However here are some of the designs hannah kindly lent us for the day to use for our corruption of innocence theme which suggests how fashion is messing with young girls minds...

Hannah used her talent to create these designs for her 4th year finals at Grays School of Art and below is the interesting story of what the inspiration behind her collection is...

"Flower Sellers” is a collection which encompasses the delicate idea of childhood. It explores the conception of the romantic child portrayed by historical artists during Victorian Britain. The designer questions childhood as a period of innocence and also the idea of youth becoming trapped within a world beyond its control and understanding. Sharp silhouettes capture the essence of Victorian attire while the delicate use of embellishment such as pearls, beads, ruffles and lace findings highlight innocence and vulnerability.  The use of vintage and found fabrics shout sustainability, which bring a modern interpretation and new life to unwanted fabrics, whether it be a baroque set of curtains turned into a blazer,  frayed organza creating blurry edge softness in capes and shorts or an unloved lace table cloth that has acquired new meaning as a draped jumper.  The collection evokes modern elegance where the most fashionable items have never been so close to home...
